By collecting unbelievably cool but unwanted items from local businesses, ReCreate diverts over 70 tons of material from landfill each year.
At the ReUse Store, crafters and teachers can use these items for their projects, all at pay-what-you-can prices. Visitors to the EcoArt Studio get to use diverted materials during scheduled classes, camps, parties and drop-in hours.
The Elevate team is looking forward to helping ReCreate promote its program Junk to Genius, where community teams will vie for first place while armed with glue guns and creativity.
